Ginny Swan is a long-time lover of the performing arts, beginning with her own ballet studies as a child in her hometown of Atlanta. During her years of dance training, Ginny learned the value of hard work and the discipline that ballet demands, and experienced the joy that performing on stage can bring both to one’s self and to one’s audience. She is extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Monterey Peninsula Ballet Theatre (MPBT) Board. As a parent to a young MPBT dancer, Ginny has observed firsthand the immeasurable benefits that the performing arts can bring to a child, and to the community receiving the gift of dance. She is excited to work with MPBT, fostering a love of the arts in our community and allowing children of all abilities to shine on stage. A licensed attorney who spent the first fifteen years of her career practicing intellectual property law with a Silicon Valley software company, Ginny has recently stepped away from her law practice to focus more fully on her family and raising busy teenagers. Ginny resides in Corral de Tierra with her husband and their two kids, who attend Palma School & All Saints Day School.
