My name is Jason Neves and I’ve been performing on stage off and on since college. I have worked backstage and held a couple of different roles in the Nutcracker production over the years. I’m so incredibly looking forward to nutcracker this year because one of my favorite characters has always been Drosselmeyer. His character adds an air of mystery and magic and the audience doesn’t quite know what to expect.
This year, I am most looking forward to performing onstage with my family and friends to create lasting memories for the audience. Every year is slightly different from the last and I like interacting with the cast to make it unique.
My piece of advice for a young dancer is to remember that we are all here to help you. It will be an amazing experience.
Nutcracker is so important to me and my family because it is a holiday tradition. It is something that we look forward to every year being able to put on a show for the community. The long hours leading up to the show pay off when we see the first sparkle of an audience member smile with delight. It gets me every time. Thank you to Tia and MBPBT for creating lasting traditions for future generations of audience goers!
