2024 Sugar Plum Fairy, Liliana- Dancer Spotlight

montereypeninsulab

My most memorable nutcracker experience was running through the audience as a Clara’s friend and being right outside the theater instead of backstage before the show. I am most looking forward to another year of making friends through Nutcracker. I feel like we all get closer during Nutcracker season because we spend so much time together and I really enjoy all the bonds I’ve made through Nutcracker.

One piece of advice I have for an upcoming young MPBT dancer would be to have fun on stage. It is much more enjoyable if one trusts themselves and the audience will enjoy it too if it looks fun and personally it makes the performance experience 10 times better.

Nutcracker is important to me because it is a wonderful experience to be able to work hard in rehearsals for a few months and then be able to showcase all that work. Performing is such a fulfilling feeling and I love getting the opportunity of being able to be and perform in the Nutcracker.
