Emily W. - MPBT Youth Ambassador

Hi! I am Emily and I am 12 years old. I chose to apply to be a Youth Ambassador for MPBT because I wanted to give back to my community, support our youngest dancers and bring the joy of ballet and dance to the Monterey Peninsula and beyond. I started performing in MPBT’s Nutcracker in 2021, as a Mini Ballerina Doll and an Angel, and this year I am a Chef and a Garland. I love performing in the Nutcracker and I also love the sense of community and family it gives me each year. This is my first year as a lead, and I am really excited to connect with our younger dancers and join a new community full of leads! I am so glad that MPBT has given me a space to perform my favorite art in front of such a large audience. I greatly appreciate the residents and visitors of the Monterey Peninsula, giving me the gift of continuing on and perfecting my passion. See you onstage!
