My name is Emily, and I am excited to be a YA because I love to help bring the community together by doing something I know will inspire many others to do the same.  In this case, that something is dance.  I have done ballet ever since I was around five years old, and became instantly connected to everything about it.  I love to perform, and am currently on my third year of Nutcracker!  My first year I was a Child at the Party and Spanish Corp.  Last year I was a Snowfall and Reed Pipe Corp, and this year I am a Chef and a Garland.

I love the Nutcracker because of the many things, including the choreography, costumes, friends, late nights full of rehearsals, and most importantly, putting it all together in front of the audience on opening night.  There is no better feeling than when that curtain closes at the end of each show.  If I were to share one piece of advice to the next generation of dancers, it would be to always believe in yourself, never give up, and have fun.
